Norfolk police arrest suspect in September murder

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police have arrested a suspect in a September murder. Police say Joseph Donte Yancy of the 1500 block of Spruce St. was taken into custody early Sunday morning in the 400 block of Chapel St. without incident.

Yancy has been charged with Murder, Malicious Wounding, and two counts of Use of a Firearm for the murder of Harold Anthony Tucker, of the 4100 block of Shoop Trail in Chesapeake.

The murder took place on September 2nd in the 1500 block of Spruce St.

Police have not released the motive for the murder.

Yancy is being held in the Norfolk City Jail.
