Norfolk, Va. - The "Big E" came home from its final deployment earlier this month.

The world`s first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, will be inactivated this Saturday during a ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk after 51 years of service.

12,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony on Saturday and the Enterprise started welcoming many of them to town with tours of the ship.

One of the many things people are getting a chance to see on those tours is a time capsule which was built out of material from around the ship.

Guests are being asked to bring items like patches, hats and old pictures to add to the capsule.

It will be sealed on Saturday.
