TROPICAL UPDATE: Tropical Storm Rafael is just below hurricane strength and will likely become a hurricane later today.
Rafael is about 270 miles NNE of Puerto Rico and moving NNW toward Bermuda.
Based on the current track, Rafael should not have any direct threat to the East Coast with the exception of higher surf.
