Hampton police searching for suspect in Pacific Drive shooting

Hampton, Va. – Hampton Police have identified the suspect responsible for Thursday’s shooting on Pacific drive.

Police are searching for 23-year-old Davon Pierre Brooks, who has a last known address in the 2100 block of Victoria Blvd. in Hampton.

Police initially received their first call about the shooting at 09:32 p.m. on Thursday

When officers arrived they found a 42-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and remains hospitalized with possibly life threatening injuries.

Police say that between the Brooks and victim, who are known to each other, got into an argument inside a residence and during the argument Brooks pulled a gun and shot the victim.

Brooks currently has warrants on file for one count of Aggravated Malicious Wounding, one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
