A Virginia Beach man who hid a dead baby in an Oceanfront parking garage will serve the maximum sentence in prison.
On Wednesday, a judge ordered Lawrence Ray Smith to five years behind bars.
In April, Smith pleaded guilty to felony concealing a body.
Police say he left his girlfriend's dead baby, Janyiha Whiteman, in a parking garage in November.
How the baby died remains a mystery.
