The Pines at Elizabeth City
A great course design, The Pines winds its way through the Albemarle pine thickets and features small elevated greens, wide fairways and large chipping areas. The golf course and practice facilities have been completely renovated and feature plush bermuda fairways and excellent A1/A4 Bentgrass greens, re-built to USGA specifications.
Re-designed in 2004 by Tom Clark, of Ault and Clark Associates, the championship course draws rave reviews from members and guests for its excellent condition and a fun, challenging layout.
At 6,700 yards from the championship tees, The Pines challenges players to hit quality golf shots and recover around the greens when they miss. Fun for golfer’s of all levels, the course offers the player many opportunities to make birdies as well as a number of challenging holes where par is a great score. The course features 4 sets of tees for players of different skills. Due to many second shots that play slightly uphill to an elevated green, The Pines generally plays slightly longer than it measures.

Kiskiack Golf Club
Located in Williamsburg, Virginia, Kiskiack’s beautiful surroundings will allow you to unwind, the spectacular views will inspire you, and the challenging layout will awaken your spirit. Kiskiack Golf Club is set on land once occupied by the Chickiack, a group of Virginia Algonquian Indians, under the rule of the Great Chief Powhatan.
Set along the ridge of a natural bluff, Kiskiack offers a day of golf for players of all levels. As our award winning architect John LaFoy said “after playing Kiskiack, 18 golfers may each have a different favorite hole.” Many of the picturesque holes demand accurate shot making from tee to green, while others are more forgiving – with ample landing areas and gentle sloping greens.
Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” awarded Kiskiack four stars. The front nine lets you relax as the course winds through mature hardwoods and over natural, rolling hills before a challenging uphill finish along one of the two lakes that come into play throughout the round. On the back nine, you are challenged by signature Hole 11. This par-3 requires accuracy to negotiate a green surrounded by water on three sides and well protected by bunkers.
