    Hampton, Va. – One person was rescued and five people have been displaced by an early morning fire in Hampton. The fire in the 1700 block of Carriage Drive was reported about 4:10am. When firefighters arrived four people had escaped and fire was visible from the first floor. The fifth person was rescued from the first floor and taken to a hospital with severe injuries.     Chesapeake, Va. – A Chesapeake man was shot and killed inside of a home on Sunset Avenue early Sunday morning. Police say the victim was 27-year-old Calvin Harris.     Newport News, Va. – The man who was recovered from Lake Maury on Saturday, November 8, 2014 has been identified as 65-year-old Ricardo John Peters. Police were called just before 10:30 Saturday morning about a body in Lake Maury located behind Riverside Hospital.  A Dominion Power worker was in the area working and saw the body in the water.     Norfolk,Va. – A man jailed over the weekend for allegedly shooting at three Norfolk police officers spoke from jail on Monday. Amos Martinez Howard says he’s been wrongly accused. Howard says he was the one assaulted by police.     Man killed in early-morning shooting in Portsmouth

    Portsmouth, Va. – A man was killed in a shooting Saturday morning in Portsmouth. Police received 911 calls about the shooting in the 900 block of Queen Street at 9:44am. When officers arrived they found the man with gunshot wounds to the torso. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General where he later died. The investigation is still ongoing.     Suffolk, Va. – A 52-year-old Suffolk man has been arrested following his indictment on numerous indecent liberties charges. John David Street was arrested on Friday following his indictment on 27 counts related to the inappropriate touching of a female juvenile.  Street is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.     Suffolk, Va. – Police are now investigating the death of a woman in Suffolk Saturday morning as a homicide. 69-year-old Virginia Mae Hill was pronounced dead at Sentara Obici Hospital after police and medics were called to her home in the 400 block of Collier Crescent around 5:28am.     Suffolk, Va. – Three children and an adult were displaced by a fire in Suffolk Saturday afternoon. Crews arrived at the duplex in the 6000 block of Camellia Drive in the Wynnwood neighborhood at 12:49pm to find fire in the A unit.
