  • UPDATE: All lanes are now open on I-264 westbound past Military Hwy

    UPDATE: I-264 Westbound is now clear. All lanes are back open   I-264 Westbound from Virginia Beach towards Norfolk is closed past Military Hwy.  Right lanes are flooded.  All traffic is being detoured off to Military Hwy exit and back up to Newtown Rd. Most inside lanes on I-264 in Virginia Beach are seeing stand water and hydroplainig.

  • 3 lanes closed on Virginia Beach Blvd due to water main break

    Virginia Beach, Va.-City crews are working to repair a 20-inch water main on Virginia Beach Blvd at Hutton Lane.  That’s near the Lowe’s and Wawa, between Lynnhaven Parkway and London Bridge Road. Three westbound lanes are closed. One westbound lane remains open to traffic.  Eastbound lanes are not affected. City crews hope to have the water main fixed within 10 hours, but are saying it could take longer, depending on the conditions. The repair should not affect any water pressure […]

  • Update: Tractor Trailer hauling 50,000 lbs of milk overturns spilling fuel and milk on Eastern Shore

    UPDATE: The driver of the 2014 Freightliner tractor trailer has been identified as 54-year-old John Albert Eason II of Preston, Maryland.  Eason was traveling southbound on Route 13 when he ran off the road to the left and overturned in the median. He is suffering from minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. Investigators say he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and alcohol was not a factor. He was charged with reckless driving. […]

    Newport News, Va. – Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside of an apartment early Sunday morning. Police say the woman has been identified as 41-year-old Stephanie Shaw. The initial call to police was made at 3:05am for an unresponsive woman lying on the floor bleeding inside an apartment in the 500 Block of Logan Place.     Virginia Beach, Va. – A man is dead after fleeing a DUI stop in Virginia Beach early Sunday morning, according to police. Travis Martin Hill, 30, of Virginia Beach was driving a Ford pickup truck when police attempted to pull him over.   • Garage fire displaces family of seven in Suffolk

    Suffolk, Va.-Fire and rescue units were called to the 6100 block of Trumpet Drive for a residential fire.  Once on scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from an attached garage. Four adults and three children will be temporarily displaced and staying with family while there is no power to the home.  Estimated damage is about $50,000 to the home.  No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
