    Norfolk police were on the scene of four different shootings throughout the night and morning, resulting in 14 confirmed victims. All of the injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

    Victim identified in deadly Newport News shooting

    Newport News, Va. – Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in a home on Ridley Circle in Newport News. Police received the first call of the shooting around 12:23am. When they arrived at the home they found the body of a man lying on the kitchen floor with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.     Coast Guard Continues monitoring cleanup efforts for fuel spill in Norfolk

    PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Coast Guard personnel are continuing to monitor cleanup efforts Saturday for a fuel spill in the Elizabeth River that occurred Friday at Lambert’s Point in Norfolk. The National Response Center contacted Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads Command Center watchstanders at approximately 3:20 p.m. Friday reporting a fuel spill aboard the Ostria S, a 740-foot bulk carrier.     Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are investigating a possible mobile meth lab in the 3400 block of Holland Road. Hazmat and firefighters were called to the scene to help with the investigation.     Man killed when car hits tree in Hampton

    Hampton, Va. – One man was killed Saturday night when his car crashed on North Mallory Street in Hampton. Police say a 1998 Ford Mustang was traveling Northbound in the 1100 block when it hit a tree. The man died at the scene. The crash team is still investigating the cause of the accident and the identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
