    James City Police investigate accident involving stolen van from Norfolk

    James City County, Va.- Police are investigating an accident involving a stolen GMC van from Norfolk Wednesday afternoon.   The van was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 3500 block of John Tyler Highway, when it went around a corner, hitting some trees and ending up in a wooded area. The driver was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center. His injuries are to be considered very bad. No charges have been filed as of yet.

    Virgina State Police respond to three separate crashes on I-264 Eastbound just minutes apart

    Norfolk, Va.- Virginia State Police are currently on scene of 3 different crashes along I-264 Eastbound.  They all happened within 5 minutes of each other. The first one happened just west of Campostella Rd. This was a single vehicle accident with injuries. The other two happened on I-264 eastbound also at Campostella Road. There was only damage to the vehicles. Virginia State Police are still waiting on more details on what caused these crashes.

    (CNN) — Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive Saturday morning in a bathtub full of water in Roswell, Georgia, police in that Atlanta suburb said.     Road opens after driver is pinned in truck after hitting tree in Virginia Beach

    UPDATE: Pungo Ferry Road is now open to all traffic   Virginia Beach, Va.- Pungo Ferry road is closed to all traffic in the 2800 block until further notice due to an accident.  Police say a man was traveling westbound in a Chevrolet truck when he hit a tree after running off the roadway and was pinned in the truck.  The man in his 20’s was extracted by the fire department and airlifted to the hospital.  His injuries are unknown […]

    UPDATE: I-264 Westbound is now clear. All lanes are back open   I-264 Westbound from Virginia Beach towards Norfolk is closed past Military Hwy.  Right lanes are flooded.  All traffic is being detoured off to Military Hwy exit and back up to Newtown Rd. Most inside lanes on I-264 in Virginia Beach are seeing stand water and hydroplainig.

    Virginia Beach, Va.-City crews are working to repair a 20-inch water main on Virginia Beach Blvd at Hutton Lane.  That’s near the Lowe’s and Wawa, between Lynnhaven Parkway and London Bridge Road. Three westbound lanes are closed. One westbound lane remains open to traffic.  Eastbound lanes are not affected.
