  • UPDATE: Police identify man killed in motorcycle crash on Hampton Blvd.

    Norfolk, Va. – Police have identified a man killed in  a motorcycle accident shortly before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of W. Princess Anne Rd. and Hampton Blvd. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Chandler Ferguson of Suffolk, Virginia. Police say Ferguson was traveling southbound on Hampton Blvd. when he left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.   • UPDATE: Police identify man found dead in Virginia Beach pond

    Virginia Beach, Va. – Police have identified the man found dead in a small pond off Lynnhaven Parkway near Pleasant Valley Road. 28-year-old Ryan Rockwell was found Friday afternoon in knee deep water. Beach police are still investigating, but they say it doesn’t appear that a crime was committed.

    UPDATE: Four arrested after police pursuit ends in crash on I-64E

    UPDATE: Police say they’ve charged 26-year-old Dominique D. Cherry of the 6300 block of Wailes Avenue. He is accused of vandalizing the Artist Box Studio on Military Highway. He’s been charged with one count of felony destruction of property.   • UPDATE: Road re-opens after natural gas line ruptures in Suffolk neighborhood

    UPDATE: Crews have cleared the scene and the leak has been secured. The road has now reopened to traffic. Repairs and resurfacing efforts will continue.  Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Police have opened one lane into Burnetts Mill following a gas leak this morning. School buses were able to pick up students, according to a spokesperson with Suffolk Public Schools.  Virginia Natural Gas crews contained the leak earlier this morning, but no word yet on how long repairs will take.   • Dog killed, six without a home after South Norfolk house fire

    Chesapeake, Virginia –  A dog was killed and six people are unable to return to their home after a fire Sunday night. Firefighters were called to the home in the 1100 block of Park Avenue in the South Norfolk area around 10:30pm. The fire was out shortly after 3:00am. A second dog was rescued from the flames.     Virginia Beach, Virginia – A Mercedes SUV crashed into a home shortly before 4:00am in the 200 block of Coventry Road near Princess Anne Road. Power lines were knocked down in the accident and left approximately 40 homes without power. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.   • UPDATE: Two hospitalized in four-vehicle crash on northbound Military Highway

    Norfolk, Virginia – Two people were hospitalized after a four-vehicle accident on Military Highway near Lowery Road Thursday morning. The accident happened shortly before 4:30am. One person had to be extricated from their vehicle. That person and another were transported to the hospital. One suffered a shoulder injury and the other a leg injury.   • Man shot in the shoulder in Portsmouth

    Portsmouth, Va. – A man was hospitalized after he was shot in the shoulder in Portsmouth early Tuesday morning. The shooting happened in the 6000 block of Churchland Blvd. around 3:59am. The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. No suspect information or motive is available at this time.
