    Power restored after car crashes into power pole in Virginia Beach

    Virginia Beach, Va – One person was transported to the hospital after a car slammed into a power pole on Shore Drive near Starfish Road. The crash happened shortly after midnight and knocked out power to about 300 customers. Dominion Virginia Power responded to make repairs and power has been restored to everyone except for 9 customers. The estimated time of restoration for those customers is between 6:00am and 8:00am.

    Residents allowed back into apartments after meter fire

    Norfolk, Va – Firefighters were called to a fire at an apartment in the 8800 block of Old Ocean View Road just after 5:00am. Firefighters arrived to find the electric meters attached to the outside of the apartment unit on fire. No one was injured and the fire was quickly extinguished. Fire officials have not said how the fire started. Residents were allowed to return to their homes.

    Family displaced after Norfolk house fire

    Norfolk, Va – Two adults and a child were displaced after their home in the 2300 block of Barre Street caught fire around 9:00pm Sunday. Firefighters responded to home where smoke and flames were visible, and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes. No one was injured. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.

    Norfolk police investigate 7-Eleven armed robbery

    Norfolk, Va – Police are investigating an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located in the 3800 block of Granby Street near the Virginia Zoo. Police dispatchers say the robbery happened just after 2:00am when two people entered the store with guns. Dispatchers did not say exactly what was taken. No one was injured.
