    Norfolk, Va. – According to Norfolk Police dispatch, one person was transported to the hospital after being stabbed in the 3900 block of Pleasant Avenue. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Dispatch says this is possibly a domestic situation. The incident remains under investigation.

    Portsmouth, Va. – Three men were stabbed early Tuesday morning in Olde Towne Portsmouth. A friend of two of the victims tells NewsChannel 3 the men were leaving Longboards bar when they were stabbed in the back near High and Dinwiddie Streets. The friend says the third victim was stabbed in the shoulder while trying to help the other men.   • Chanello’s Pizza employees locked in cooler during armed robbery

    Chesapeake, Virginia  – Employees of Chanello’s Pizza at 109 Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake were locked in a cooler during an armed robbery early Friday morning, according to police dispatch. The suspect was reported to be a male wearing an orange sweatshirt and hoodie, black pants, a black mask and armed with a handgun. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

    Update: Currituck-Knotts Island Ferry resumes service

    UPDATE: The Currituck-Knotts Island Ferry has resumed service after being suspended due to fog. According to NCDOT, the Currituck-Knotts Island Ferry is not currently running due to foggy conditions. Ferry service between Hatteras and Ocracoke has been temporarily suspended.

  • UPDATE: Police identify man killed in motorcycle crash on Hampton Blvd.

    Norfolk, Va. – Police have identified a man killed in  a motorcycle accident shortly before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of W. Princess Anne Rd. and Hampton Blvd. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Chandler Ferguson of Suffolk, Virginia. Police say Ferguson was traveling southbound on Hampton Blvd. when he left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.   • UPDATE: Police identify man found dead in Virginia Beach pond

    Virginia Beach, Va. – Police have identified the man found dead in a small pond off Lynnhaven Parkway near Pleasant Valley Road. 28-year-old Ryan Rockwell was found Friday afternoon in knee deep water. Beach police are still investigating, but they say it doesn’t appear that a crime was committed.

  • UPDATE: Road re-opens after natural gas line ruptures in Suffolk neighborhood

    UPDATE: Crews have cleared the scene and the leak has been secured. The road has now reopened to traffic. Repairs and resurfacing efforts will continue.  Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Police have opened one lane into Burnetts Mill following a gas leak this morning. School buses were able to pick up students, according to a spokesperson with Suffolk Public Schools.  Virginia Natural Gas crews contained the leak earlier this morning, but no word yet on how long repairs will take.
