    Newport News, Va. – A 16-year-old male was hospitalized after being shot in the buttocks in Newport News on Friday night. The teen was walking in the 1500 block of Ivy Avenue at 9:45 p.m. when a black or dark-colored car drove by.     Hampton, Va. – The city of Hampton has agreed to pay a settlement to police officers in a dispute over unpaid wages. The city agreed to pay $3.5 million for the plaintiffs’ claims, attorneys’ fees and costs.     Newport News, Va. – An Amtrak train was suspended in Newport News on Thursday night after experiencing technical issues. Officials say this happened on Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 95. 52 passengers were transferred to buses and taken to Newport News. This train travels from Boston to Newport News.     Family without home after kitchen fire in Norfolk

    Norfolk, Va. – A family of three has been displaced after a kitchen fire broke out inside of their apartment. Norfolk fire units were called out to the 400 block of Fort Worth Avenue at 10:32 p.m. The fire was contained to the second floor apartment. The cause of the fire was cooking. Two adults and a child were displaced. No injuries were reported. They did not request the assistance of the Red Cross.
