    Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Beach police officials say 42-year-old Guy Lavon Cuffee was fatally shot on Tuesday night in the Manchester Villiage  area of Green Run.     Man convicted of first-degree murder in Norfolk

    Norfolk, Va. – There’s been a conviction in a murder case featured in our Taking Action Against Crime report. Prosecutors tell us 22-year-old Javontay Jones was convicted of first-degree murder in a bench trial this morning. Jones was charged in the November 2011 shooting death of Darelle Williams. That happened on A Avenue. NewsChannel 3 told you about this right after it happened and featured it in our Taking Action Against Crime report. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for November.

    76-year-old woman reported missing by family in Suffolk located safely

    UPDATE: Police say Ms. Pittman has been located safely.  Suffolk, Va. – Police need your help to find a missing and endangered woman in Suffolk. They are searching for 76-year-old Mary Lizzie Pittman. Pittman was reported missing by family members on Monday afternoon. She was last seen on August 3rd at around 2:30 p.m. getting into a black Mercedes SUV in the 2000 block of North Main Street. She was seen by a family member and reportedly not in distress. […]

    Military truck spills gallons of fuel into Hampton drain

    Hampton, Va. – Between 20 and 25 gallons of fuel has spilled from a military truck carrying a fuel tank and ended up in a nearby drain. It happened in the 2700 block of Mercury Boulevard right in front of the Relax Inn around 4:30 this afternoon causing the four lanes of traffic to be reduced to only one lane.     Portsmouth, Va. – Two people have been hurt following a double stabbing during an altercation in Portsmouth on Monday. The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Churchland Blvd. Police say a woman and a juvenile were taken to the hospital. The woman was stabbed in the neck and her injuries are considered serious.
