    Virginia Beach, Va. – Crews were sent out to a fire at the Travelodge  Suites on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This was located in the 2800 block of Atlantic Avenue.     Portsmouth deputy accidentally shoots herself in leg

    Portsmouth, Va. – A Portsmouth Deputy is recovering after accidentally shooting herself in the leg on Wednesday. According to Lt. Cherry with the Portsmouth Sheriff’s department, she was going to the jail to conduct a search on a female prisoner. After her search, she was returning to her vehicle and securing her weapon back to its holster when it discharged. The bullet went inside her leg and exited her thigh.     (CNN) — A federal grand jury in South Carolina has returned a 33-count indictment against Charleston church shooting defendant Dylann Roof, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced Wednesday.
