    NEW YORK — Rapper DMX is recovering after first responders found him lying in a hotel parking lot after he collapsed on Monday night. First responders rushed DMX, whose legal name is Earl Simmons, to a local hospital, attorney Murray Richman confirmed. Richman told WPIX he believes Simmons suffered an asthma attack.     Elizabeth City, NC – A man who was reportedly walking in traffic was hit by a vehicle and killed in Elizabeth City on Sunday. This occurred over the weekend on Halstead Boulevard. Police say a witness told them that 58-year-old Louis Lawrence White of 1400 Woodstock Avenue was walking in the center of the inside northbound lane.     Chesapeake, Va. – A man is in the hospital recovering after he was hit in a drive-by shooting in Chesapeake on Friday night. At around 9:55 p.m., a man was taken to the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
