  • UPDATE: Two hospitalized in four-vehicle crash on northbound Military Highway

    Norfolk, Virginia – Two people were hospitalized after a four-vehicle accident on Military Highway near Lowery Road Thursday morning. The accident happened shortly before 4:30am. One person had to be extricated from their vehicle. That person and another were transported to the hospital. One suffered a shoulder injury and the other a leg injury. Police have not said what caused the accident. Military Highway between Lowery Road and Northampton Boulevard has reopened. Avoid delays with our interactive traffic map

    Chesapeake, Va. – A man riding a bicycle has died as a result of a crash involving a tractor trailer, according to Chesapeake police. The call came in to police at 5:51 a.m. on Friday.     SUV found burning in field near I-264 in Portsmouth

    Portsmouth, Va. – An SUV was found burning in a field off of Cavalier Boulevard near I-264 shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday morning. No one was found inside of the vehicle, but police believe the vehicle was stolen from Norfolk. Investigators responded to the scene, as well as firefighters. “The vehicle has been pretty much torched,” according to a fire investigator.     Suffolk, Va. – Fire crews put out a fire at Uptown Varieties in Suffolk early Thursday morning. The call about the fire in the 400 block of Carolina Rd. came in at 1:51am. There were no injuries in the fire, and the business was closed at the time. Firefighters have left the scene, while investigators remain trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

  • Man shot in the shoulder in Portsmouth

    Portsmouth, Va. – A man was hospitalized after he was shot in the shoulder in Portsmouth early Tuesday morning. The shooting happened in the 6000 block of Churchland Blvd. around 3:59am.
