  • Local athlete signs with U.S. Coast Guard Academy

    On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, Jacob Morgan Brown officially signed his letter of intent to play football for the United States Coast Guard Academy. Brown has gained recognition for his athletic gifts as well as his reputation as an extraordinary leader, scholar, student and role model. He has maintained a 3.92 GPA throughout high school and will accept an academic and football scholarship from the Coast Guard Academy valued at $378,000.

  • Conference 1 & 9 gymnastics tournament at Bayside; Kellam, Cox stand out

    Today the conference 1 and 9 Gymnastics Tournament was held at Bayside High School. There were 10 teams competing but everyone had their eyes locked on the Kellam Knights AND Cox Falcons. Both teams had their share of standouts. Maddie Smith, from the defending state champion Kellam Knights, lit up the competition in the floor event.   • The Tribe win first game in history at Northeastern

    The William and Mary men’s basketball team turned in a dominant first-half performance on the way to a historic 82-70 victory over Northeastern on Saturday night at Matthews Arena. W&M scored the first eight points of the game and continued to grow the lead to 45-18 at the half. In the 109-year history of Tribe basketball, it marked the program’s first win in the city of Boston, and first at Northeastern in seven tries.
