Bicyclist critically injured after Norfolk motor vehicle crash

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Police Department is currently at the scene of a motor vehicle crash that left a bicyclist critically injured at the intersection of E. 26th Street and Villa Circle Tuesday evening. 

Authorities say the crash happened around 6:22 p.m. When police and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the crash.

No other injuries were reported. Charges are pending based on the conclusion of the investigation.
