NORFOLK, Va. – Firefighters near Naval Station Norfolk responded to a natural gas leak Monday.
Virginia Natural Gas secured the leak around 12:15 p.m, and traffic in that area of Hampton Blvd is open.
Officials say that the leak happened at the Fleet Rec. Park, and were asking people in the area of or on base, to avoid Hampton Blvd south of 90th Street and Fleet Rec Park to Admiral Taussing and surrounding streets.
