NORFOLK, Va. - More than 300 sailors returned to Norfolk Naval Station Friday when the USS Leyte Gulf arrived from its deployment.
The guided-missile cruiser's return marked the end of its seven month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
The ship, while on deployment, conducted maritime security operations.
