Dog rescued from house fire in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. –  Hampton firefighters responded to a fire in a house located on Eastmoreland Drive Saturday.

Alert neighbors called 911 when they saw smoke coming from the eves of the house.

It took 15 minutes to put out the fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but one dog was rescued during the initial search for victims.

No injuries were reported to fire department personnel or the dog in the home.

The Red Cross was is assisting. The home is uninhabitable due to the smoke and water damage.
