16-year-old injured in Hampton shooting

HAMPTON, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night.

The incident happened in the 400 block of Hollywood Ave., around 7:30 p.m.

Police said the victim was a 16-year-old and his injuries were life threatening. As of Tuesday, his injuries have been updated to non-life threatening.

According to police, people riding in a light-colored vehicle fired several shots towards a home.

The victim, who was outside of the home during the incident, was hit one time.

Police have not released a description of the suspects.
