Redskins day three draft picks

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – On the final day of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Redskins addressed their offense for the first time.

With the 114th overall pick (4th round), Washington scooped up Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine. The big (233 pounds) back owns the NCAA single game rushing record.

With the 123rd pick (4th round), Washington went back to the defensive side of the ball as the Skins select Michigan State safety Montae Nicholson. According to his NFL.com draft profile, the 6′ 2″ enforcer has “athleticism and aggression to make him a potential starter.”

In the 5th round (pick 154), the Redskins select 6′ 5″ Arkansas tight end Jeremy Sprinkle. During his senior season for the Razorbacks, Sprinkle caught 33 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns. He was suspended for the Belk Bowl vs Virginia Tech for shoplifting from Belk during bowl week.

Washington traded with Minnesota to move up two slots in the 6th round. With the 199th selection, the Redskins drafted Wyoming center Chase Roullier.

Later in the 6th round, with the 209th pick, Washington selected Georgia State receiver Robert Davis. Davis is 6″ 3″, 219 pounds and related to Panthers running back Thomas Davis.

In the 7th round, 230th overall, Washington drafts Louisville safety Josh Harvey-Clemons.

With its final pick of the draft, the 235th overall (7th round), the Redskins select Auburn defensive back Joshua Holsey.
