Norfolk firefighters battle two-alarm fire

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk firefighters were on scene of a two-alarm structure fire Saturday night.

A Norfolk Fire-Rescue official tells News 3 the fire started in a detached garage of a home in the 3600 block of Sewell’s Point Road.

Officials say the flames spread to the house and a nearby building.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

Neighbors tell News 3 the home was vacant.

Calls for the fire came in around 10:14 p.m. and multiple fire crews are on scene.

Fire officials say only the garage is a total loss.
