CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Even the weather can't resist a good sale. Officials say heavy winds have blown in the doors of the main entrance to the Greenbrier Mall.

The mall is still operating normally, but the affected entrance is shut off as crews work on the repairs.

The manager of the mall said the incident happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday. There is no estimated time for repairs, but no one was injured.

“As I’m walking up, I see the doors...shaking a little bit," eyewitness Charles McCutchen told News 3. "I can feel the wind, but it looks odd, so I stopped.

"We were just looking at the doors shaking back and forth, and all of the sudden it just caves in...Mother Nature, powerful!"

Some people were on their way to work at the nearby Green Turtle restaurant when they saw the door cave in.

“When I was coming up, I just heard a loud creaking," said eyewitness Lauren Williams. "When I looked up coming from my car, all you saw was just everything fall. I didn’t know what happened. I thought maybe the car went through it, because that is what it looked like for a moment.”
