Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

**Wind Advisory in effect for Accomack County until 1:00 pm. Expect east winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45+ mph possible this morning.

More rain to start the week… After overcast skies, fog, and rain this morning, we will see some improvement this afternoon. Most of the rain will continue pushing north, leaving behind a few scattered showers. After a windy morning, winds will begin to back down this afternoon. Highs today will warm into the low 60s. Some sunshine will break through the clouds this afternoon but any clearing will be short lived. Clouds will build back in this evening with another round of scattered showers tonight.

Showers may linger into Tuesday morning but we will see an overall clearing trend tomorrow. Highs will slip into the mid 50s with strong NW winds at 10 to 20 with gusts to 25 mph.

We are tracking a cold front that will move in Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The front will bring us another chance for showers and a return to cold air for Friday and the weekend.

Today: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers (30%). Highs in the low 60s. Winds: S/W 10-15

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Showers (50%). Lows in the mid 40s. Winds: NW 5-15
