A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for the following areas: Franklin, Greensville Co., Hertford Co., Isle of Wight Co., Middlesex Co., Northampton (NC) Co., Southampton Co., Surry Co., Sussex Co., and Williamsburg-James City Co. A trace of ice accumulation is possible in these areas.

As we move through our early Saturday morning, all eyes will be on a cold front that will impact our weather.  Any sleet or freezing rain that developed will transition into rain as our temperatures warm up through the morning into the afternoon. Otherwise, expect more clouds than sun with a few scattered showers into the early afternoon. Highs will warm into the low 60s. It will be windy today, with winds from the southwest between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts to 30. Tonight, expect partly to mostly cloudy with warming temperatures.

On Sunday, the front will slow down across the area, giving way to scattered showers, especially by the afternoon. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures will climb into the lower 70s!

By early Monday morning, as temperatures dip into the 30s and with some lingering moisture around, we could see a wintry mix early, before our temperatures warm above freezing. We’re expecting highs int he mid 40s Monday. A wintry mix is also possible early Tuesday morning for parts of the viewing area. Highs will be in the 50s by Tuesday afternoon.

Today: Early AM Sleet/Freezing Rain. Then, scattered showers (40%). Otherwise, more clouds than sun. Windy and Mild. Highs in the low 60s. Winds: SW 15-25 mph, gusts to 30.

Tonight: Partly to Mostly Cloudy. Temperatures will rise into the lower 60s tonight. Winds: SW 15-25 mph, with higher gusts.
