The First Warning Storm Team is tracking a blast of arctic air for Thursday and Friday.

A dry cold front crosses the area tonight and ushers in much, much colder air to end the workweek. There isn’t a lot of moisture associated with this front, so only keeping a 5 percent chance for a shower or a wintry mix, especially on the Eastern Shore.

Winds will pick up Thursday morning out of the northwest at 15-25 mph, making temperatures feel much colder! A dry and very cold day for Thursday with clearing skies. Many areas will not make it out of the 30s!

Temperatures on Friday will be even colder! Highs will be at the freezing mark or colder for many places. Temperatures will only drop a few degrees overnight Friday. Lows in the upper 20s. A chance for a wintry mix overnight into Saturday morning.

A warm front will move north across the area Saturday with a cold front for Sunday. A big warm up for Saturday and Sunday! Highs in the low to mid 60s Saturday and lower 70s for Sunday with rain chances. Back to the 40s for Monday.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Low temperatures in the low 30s. Winds: W 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny and blustery! Highs in the mid to upper 30s. Winds NW 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tomorrow night: Even colder! Lows in the teens. Wind chills could drop into the single digits. Winds: NW 15-25, with gusts up to 30 mph.
