Darren Sharper, a former safety for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison in connection with drugging and raping women.

The sentence stems from a plea agreement Sharper took in regards to raping women in multiple states, according to CBS Sports.

Two victims spoke during Sharper’s hearing, describing their experiences and the affects the attacks had on their lives.

Sharper previously admitted he attacked two women in Los Angeles hotel rooms after meeting them at a nightclub. Two additional accusers in other states came forward with similar accusations after his arrest in January 2014, CNN reports.

Sharper served about two years while waiting his sentencing in California.

CBS Sports says California law requires Sharper to serve at least half of his sentence before he can apply for parole.

With his two years already served that puts Sharper eligible to apply for parole in about eight years.

One of the victims named Jane Doe 2 said, “The only good thing about this situation is that this disgusting low-life human will be sent to prison for many years and is likely he will never be able to do to this to another woman again… I hope this scumbag will now feel as worthless as he has made me feel,” CBS Sports reports.
