7 families assisted by Red Cross after water damages Virginia Beach condos

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Seven families were displaced Friday afternoon when water damaged their homes.

According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, a contractor was working in the attic when he or she stepped on a sprinkler in the attic and broke the pipe, causing severe water damage to seven condominium units.

The incident happened at the Ocean Shore complex in the 2000 block of Ocean Shore Crescent.
