ARLINGTON, TX. – Shades of Week 2 all over again. The Redskins played well enough to beat the Cowboys, they just couldn’t get off the field when they needed to the most. In the 4th quarter, the Cowboys (10-1) and the Redskins (6-4-1) got into a touchdown trading tussle. In the span of 10 minutes, four touchdowns were scored.

The Cowboys had a short field on their last touchdown when the Redskins decided to go for an onside kick with more than nine minutes left on the game clock. “On the onside kick, we had a look we thought we could get, we had the look exactly the way we wanted. Those are chances that if we see something that’s there, and we practice it, and we like it, we got to take chances to do it,” says head coach Jay Gruden after the game.

After torching the Packers defense on the ground, the ‘Skins couldn’t get the key to turn in the ignition against the stout Cowboys run defense. Robert Kelley had a light workload, only churning out 37 yards on 14 carries.

Kirk Cousins had another stellar showing through the air. Cousins went 41-for-53 for 449 yards and three touchdowns. DeSean Jackson, who was questionable (shoulder) coming into the game was the leading receiver with four catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Jordan Reed had two touchdown catches as well, bringing his season total up to five.

It might’ve been fatigue, it might’ve been too much Dak and Zeke, but the Cowboys had their way with the Redskins defense. Elliot rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, while Dak Prescott added a rushing touchdown on 39 yards rushing.

Josh Norman vs. Dez Bryant heats up: Throughout the game, Cowboys star wide-out Dez Bryant and Redskins corner back Josh Norman had some lengthy conversations. After the game, they had a somewhat heated exchange, and now both sides are telling their part of the story.

The Redskins are off until December 4th when they travel to Glendale, Arizona to take on the Cardinals.
