First Warning Forecast: Areas of dense fog overnight and into Friday morning

*Watch out for areas of dense fog overnight and tomorrow morning*

Increasing clouds overnight with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. The main concern will be areas of dense fog, so keep that in mind if you’re heading out to shop. Visibility less than a quarter-mile possible.

Heading into Friday, some areas of fog to start the day under mostly cloudy skies. A few scattered showers possible by late evening and overnight. Highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. A lingering shower possible very early Saturday, but skies will clear quickly as high pressure builds in from the west. Highs Saturday in the mid to upper 50s. A bit cooler on Sunday with highs in the low to mid 50s.

Conditions look to remain dry through Tuesday. We are tracking rain chances late Tuesday and Wednesday, but temperatures will be near 70.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy, a late-day scattered shower possible (30%). Highs in the low to mid 60s. Winds: SE 5-10

Tomorrow night: Scattered showers possible (30%). Becoming breezy. Lows in the upper 40s. Winds: W 5-10, increasing out of the N 10-15, gusts up to 25 mph.

Tropical Update

Hurricane Otto is weakening rapidly over southern Nicaragua. Otto is moving west at 13 mph and a faster motion toward the west or WSW is forecast to begin tonight and continue through early Saturday. On this track, the center of Otto should move across northwestern Costa Rica and into the eastern North Pacific Ocean, during the next few hours, then move away from the Central American coast on Friday. Continued rapid weakening is anticipated after Otto moves over the Pacific Ocean.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles.
