WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hillary Clinton returns to Washington, where the Children’s Defense Fund will honor her for what President Marian Wright Edelman called Clinton’s “tireless voice for children.”

The event will be her first public appearance since her presidential concession speech.

The Children’s Defense Fund is a non-profit organization founded in 1973 that works to improve policies concerning child welfare and public education.
