Tracking much warmer weather, then a huge plunge….Big temperature swings are ahead. In fact, we’re going to go from highs in the 70s to the 50s.

As we move through this Wednesday afternoon, expect highs in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. A weak cold front will move in from the northwest tonight. We may see a few more clouds and possibly a sprinkle or light shower for our northern communities. But most of us will get through the night dry. Low temperatures will be in the mid 40s.

On Thursday, expect another sunny day with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be a little breezy at times, mainly from the north between 10 and 15 mph. Highs will warm up into the mid and upper 60s by Friday with sunshine.

Then, this weekend, get ready for a huge roller coaster ride. Highs will soar into the lower 70s on Saturday. A strong cold front will slide in late Saturday into Sunday. A few showers are possible with the front as it moves in late Saturday. Otherwise, a lot of us will feel a tremendous difference with our temperatures. Highs on Sunday will sink into the mid 50s under windy conditions. In fact, wind gusts will be near 30 mph. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will remain in the 50s.
