BERTIE COUNTY – A 21-year-old man has been arrested for the October 4 murder of Bryan Okeffee Harrell in Windsor, North Carolina, according to the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office.

Harrell’s body was found inside of his minivan next to a basketball court on Cedar Landing Road.

An autopsy determined Harrell had been shot twice.

Freeman has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and faces additional charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and financial card fraud in this case.

He is in the Bertie/Martin Regional Jail under no bond.
