Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater collecting donations for Matthew victims

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A drive through donation site to benefit Hurricane Matthew victims will be set up Thursday at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater.

Donations of the following items will be accepted:

  • Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, baby shampoo/wash, lotions, etc.
  • New socks for all ages – infants to seniors
  • New underwear for all ages – infants to seniors
  • Paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, toilet paper, etc.

People wishing to donate can enter at Dam Neck Road and drive through a drop off line where volunteers will accept donations.

Donations will be collected from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Salvation Army will distribute collected items to affected families in the area Saturday.
