8:30 a.m. November 11 – Event at Fort Monroe National Monument. Community members are invited to place American flags around Fort Monroe to honor veterans. Public should arrive at the Paradise Ocean Club Parking Lot at 490 Fenwick Road by 8:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. on November 10 – ODU Veterans Day Event at Kaufman Mall featuring remarks from Senator Mark Warner, Rear Adm. Patrick Piercey, commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic and Old Dominion President John R. Broderick.
2 p.m. on November 11 – Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at MacArthur Memorial at 198 Bank Street
11:30 a.m. November 10 – Celebration at Tidewater Community College Portsmouth Campus Student Center at 120 Campus Drive.
9 a.m. November 11 – Veterans Day Parade starts at Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Atlantic Avenue and proceeds up 19th Street to the Tidewater Veterans Memorial across from the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
7 p.m. November 11 – “A Salute to Veterans” free concert by the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command Band at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts at 201 Market Street.
