Dog kicked and thrown down staircase, South Carolina police arrest owner

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Police are investigating an animal cruelty case and are asking for more information from the public.

The Lexington Police Department was notified through social media about a possible animal cruelty incident.

The information shared with police was of several pictures and a video showing a small white dog being kicked by a person.

The suspect is seen kicking the dog several times and then picking up the animal and throwing it down the stairs of an apartment complex.

Officers responded to the complex and were able to locate the dog and its owner.

During the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant and gained custody of the animal.

Lexington Animal Control will hold the dog until the investigation is complete.

On October 28 Timothy Mister was served a summons for Maltreatment of an Animal for not seeking treatment for his dog by a vet after being notified of the animal abuse.

According to police, the dog is in good health and has recovered from the incident.
