Dry, cool and spooky for Halloween, then our temps are warming up….There was a chill in the air for all of the trick-or-treaters tonight. But the cool weather won’t last long. We’re tracking temperatures near 80 by the middle of the week.

As we move through our Monday evening, expect partly cloudy skies across the area. It’s going be chilly, too, so grab a sweater or jacket before heading out to trick-or-treat. Temperatures will cool into the 50s this evening. Then, overnight low temperatures will settle into the mid and upper 40s under mostly clear skies. Winds will subside from the east-northeast between 5 and 10 mph.

On Tuesday, after a chilly start, we’ll see highs rising into the mid 60s by afternoon under a mix of sun and clouds. We’re expecting dry weather Tuesday as well as on Wednesday. In fact, we’ll see more sunshine with highs in the low and mid 70s as our winds shift from the southwest.

By Thursday, highs will creep up into the upper 70s to near 80, but the warm up will be short-lived.  A cold front will slide through late Thursday, giving way to a few scattered showers. Most of the rain should be offshore by Friday morning. But the front will lower our temperatures. Highs on Friday will be in the lower 60s. Expect highs in the mid 60s by the weekend.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy and Chilly. Lows in the mid and upper 40s. Winds: NE/E 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: Sun and Clouds. Mild. Highs in the mid 60s. Winds: E/SE 5-10 mph.

Wednesday: Sun and Clouds. Warmer. Highs in the low 70s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.
