Virginia Beach firefighter recruits help with Matthew cleanup

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Recruits from the Virginia Beach Fire Training Center pitched in to help some local residents clean up after Hurricane Matthew.

The storm caused flooding that damaged many homes in the region.

The recruits helped carry heavy furniture and assisted with demolition inside homes in the Windsor Woods neighborhood.
