Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

***River Flood Warnings remain for the Blackwater and Nottoway Rivers. Water is at minor flooding levels now and slowly falling***

A cool and windy Friday… A cold front pushed through the area last night and left behind some cooler air. Temperatures will start in the 50s this morning but will only reach the mid 60s this afternoon, below normal and about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. We will see a few leftover clouds this morning but sunshine for most of today. It will be windy today with north winds at 10 to 15 and gusts to 20+ possible. The stronger winds will trigger “nuisance” to “minor” level tidal flooding for Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures will gradually warm this weekend. Expect highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and low 70s on Sunday. We will see a few more clouds mix in but rain chances will remain slim. Winds will relax for the weekend. Temperatures will continue to climb next week with highs in the upper 70s by midweek.

Today: A Few Clouds, Windy, Cooler. Highs in the mid 60s. Winds: N 10-15G25

Tonight: A Few Clouds. Lows near 50. Winds: NE 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy. Highs in the upper 60s. Winds: NE 5-10
