First Warning Forecast: Temperatures gradually warm for the weekend

Temperatures will gradually warm this weekend. Expect highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and low 70s on Sunday. We will see a few more clouds mix in but rain chances will remain slim. Winds will relax for the weekend. Some early morning patchy fog is possible heading into Saturday. Temperatures will continue to climb next week with highs in the upper 70s by midweek.

We could see some “nuisance” or “minor” level tidal flooding heading into Saturday. High pressure will build in through Saturday.

Tropical Update

Nicole now a tropical storm but forecast to restrengthen on Saturday. TS Nicole continues to move east-northeastward. Nicole is centered about 640 miles S of Cape Race, Newfoundland and moving ENE at 16 mph. This motion is expected to continue with a decrease in forward speed during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
