Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

***Flood Warnings have been extended for most of the Southside and most of NE NC through this evening***

***River Flood Warnings remain in effect for most of our inland rivers. Water is at minor flooding levels now and slowly falling***

A temperature swing is on the way… Highs will reach into the low 70s this afternoon, near normal for this time of year. We will see more clouds mix in with the sunshine today with a chance for isolated showers. Most areas will stay dry and any rain we do see will not leave much (if anything) in the rain gauge.

Flood warnings remain for most of the Southside and Northeastern North Carolina through this evening. River Flood Warnings remain for most of our inland rivers. Water is at minor flooding levels today and continues to slowly fall. Tidal flooding will become a focus again on Friday as northerly winds crank up again.

A cold front is set to move through the region Thursday night. Rain chance will be extremely low but it will bring in a temperatures change. Highs will warm into the mid 70s on Thursday, then drop into the mid 60s on Friday. We will return to the low and mid 70s, near normal, this weekend.

Today: Partly Sunny, Stray Showers (10%). Highs in the low 70s. Winds: NE 5-15

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Stray Showers (10%). Lows near 60. Winds: NE/N 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy, Isolated AM Showers (20%). Highs in the mid 70s. Winds: N/NW 5-10
