It was a wedding to remember after Hurricane Matthew.

Several local businesses stepped up to make sure a military bride and groom in Virginia Beach had the wedding of their dreams despite the storm.

Rescheduling was not an option for this couple on their wedding day. The groom is set to deploy and today is also the wedding anniversary of both the bride's mother and grandmother.

So, after a last minute change in venue from the Eastern Shore to MOCA in Virginia Beach, navigating  floods, power outages and a even having a tree falling onto the wedding planner's car, they were determined to still pull off their dream day.

They even managed to do hair and makeup for the bridal party by running extension cords from a car that had an outlet.

Then more bad news. Road closures forced their caterer to cancel  last minute. Norfolk Catering stepped up last minute to make the food for 150 people in just hours and java surf showed up with free coffee. Thanks to the Hampton Roads community, the gorgeous couple made it down the aisle in style. They said miracles can happen and even a flood couldn't stop love.

This story shows love can overcome and the  happy couple tell us that they have already "weathered their first storm" as husband and wife! Congrats!
