CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The pink treadmill standing at the end of a long row of fitness equipment, has a story.

The OneLife Fitness in Chesapeake Square prides themselves on owning the pink treadmill for 6 years now.

The color of the treadmill was chosen as a way to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Assistant General Manager David Gilmet said hundreds of people have asked about the treadmill and just that one question opens the door to a fitness conversation. Gilmet said the staff at OneLife promote healthy lifestyle habits which of course can prevent illness.

Cancer is a disease that has touched everyone's life and the treadmill offers the opportunity for people to tell stories of their loved ones, whether they have won or lost their battle with cancer.
