Blog: Storm cleanup underway in Hampton Roads and NE North Carolina

The remnants of Hurricane Matthew tore through Hampton Roads on Saturday night, bringing heavy rains and strong winds, and leaving behind massive flooding and major damage.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, over 70,000 remain without power in Hampton Roads and NE North Carolina and many area roads remain impassable due to flooding and debris. Power is expected to be fully restored by Thursday.
