NORFOLK, Va- Norfolk Police are investigating after a man was hit by a car on Church Street Friday night.
According to Norfolk Police, they were called the 700 block of Church street around 10:45p.m. for a crash involving a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation indicates a Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Church Street when the 47-year-old man ran into the street in front of the car. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, stayed on the scene and was not injured. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
