SMITHFIELD, Va. – A man was electrocuted while working on power lines Monday afternoon.
Around 4 p.m. the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office said a man was working on power lines near the 16000 Block of Benns Church Blvd.
The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by Nightingale.
He was conscious when being transported but no other details about his current condition are available at this time.
Investigators are working with the contractor and OSHA to determine what caused the incident.
