WASHINGTON – Washington Redskins safety DeAngelo Hall has a torn ACL and is out for the season, says head coach Jay Gruden.

During Sunday’s win against the New York Giants, Hall collided with a teammate while trying to make a tackle late in the second quarter. He struggled to get up and was taken off the field.

Gruden says Will Blackmon will replace Hall as the starting safety. Deshazor Everett will be the backup safety to Blackmon.

Hall, a Chesapeake native and former Virginia Tech Hokie, has been with the Redskins for eight seasons.
