Taking Action Against Crime: Newport News Police trying to identify armed robbery suspect

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Police need your help to identify the man who robbed a convenience store in Newport News earlier this year.

According to police, just before 11 p.m., an unknown man went into the Hop ‘N Shop convenience store located at 12961 Jefferson Ave.

Police say the man had a gun and demand money.  Four employees were held at gunpoint, but no one was injured.  Once the man got the cash, he took off.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 25-35 years old.  He is around 5'5" - 5'8" in height with a medium build.
