untitled-design-1SOUTHAMPTON Co., Va. – A woman was arrested on Thursday for murdering a disabled 23-year-old.

Keshia Freeman, 36, was arrested by Southampton Co. Deputies for first degree murder and abuse/neglect of an incapacitated adult, resulting in death.

Freeman has been arrested in connection with the death of Shaquille Hall.

On March 2 deputies responded and emergency medical services responded to a home in Drewryville Va. on a report of an unresponsive child.

Authorities later identified the woman as Shaquille Hall who suffered from cerebral palsy.

Rescue personnel pronounced Hall dead a short time after arriving.

An autopsy revealed that Hall had been a victim of a homicide and listed her cause of death as blunt force trauma to the abdomen with contributing causes of diphenhydramine overdose, dehydration, starvation, and battery.

Hall was in the care of her Medicaid provided aid at the time of her death and she had not been in the care of her family for at least five weeks before her death.

Freeman’s bond was denied and she is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Southampton County Circuit Court on November 3.
